DESERT BOOTS (4) returned over 1000m and was beaten for speed but got home late. Fitter and looks better placed over the extra ground. ELEGANT MAN (1) has been midfield last couple but gets more ground now and drawn for a soft run. Can feature. NORWEGIAN SPIRIT (13) resumes from a long break fitter for three jump-pouts, winning the latest. Should be winding up late.
