Verdict

HELLUVA SOIREE (5) didn't have much luck in the Canberra Cup preview last start when chopped out at a crucial stage but showed great ticker to pick back up and finish fourth. Has come along nicely this campaign under her new trainer Luke Pepper who is in red-hot form. Gets in low at the weights with the 2kg claimer reuniting and is a mare in form that will prove tough to stop. ASSOCIATE (1) is forever running on and while he hasn't won for a long time, he is a capable type on his day. Didn't run the trip last time when seeing it for the first time but willing to forgive. NOTES (6) comes into consideration after some key scratchings. Yet to make an impact over this trip but is worth keeping safe. IT IS TO BE (7) next.
