GRANDINI (2) registered her third minor placing from as many runs this prep when a distant third over 1300m at Dubbo a fortnight ago. That was her second consecutive miss when sent around at red odds, so patience is wearing thin. The step up to a mile for the first time might be the key. TAIPAN LEGEND (1) led for the judge but found a couple better in the run home over 1400m at Mudgee last time out. Very fit gelding who should run them along and will take some catching despite the step up in journey. PARKRUN (3) was in the market on debut at Newcastle recently but failed to fire in the 1250m maiden. By Cox Plate winner Ocean Park so he deserves another chance out to this trip. STORM PARK (4) started favourite but disappointed on debut at Mudgee 17 days ago. Should have more to offer. AIRWALKER (9) produced a real eye-catcher over this distance at Dubbo last time so don't rule her out.
