MR VERSE (6) is a lightly raced gelding in his first campaign, good in a pair of handy races since a maiden win at Seymour. The last start third at Sandown Lakeside when running on strongly from the back reads well and Shinn just needs to give him a good ride from the wide draw. ALL SO CLEAR (5) ran well fresh at Mornington over 1500m and should be fitter. He's a fairly consistent type who can be getting into the finish here. MY ROCA FELLA (2) finished near the rear fresh at Sandown Lakeside but is better than that and will be fitter. Look for quick improvement. TURN IT UP TOMMY (11) doesn't win out of turn but could sneak into the finish while DIAMANDA (12) has won two in a row but is up in grade again.
