NAVAL COLLEGE (3) first up from a four month break ran a respectable sixth over 1800m in the G3 Craven Plate at Randwick on October 26. Best form is second up and two of his wins have come over the 2400m. Goes close. WYCLIF (4) hard fit for this and comes out of a strong race when an eye catching second to Fawkner Park in the G3 Rosehill Cup over 2000m on November 2. Proven this track and trip and due for a change of luck. SPIRIT RIDGE (1) went out hard on resumption and nearly pinched the race before being nailed late to finish second in the G3 Craven Plate over 1800m at Randwick. Placed at both attempts at this course and can take a hand in the finish. NIKAU SPUR (8) tough Toowoomba trained gelding who deserves his chance here after winning the LR QLD Cup over 2400m two back. Can surprise with the 54kg.
