SUNSETS (1) ran third in last year's Victoria Derby and went around a big price first-up in a race that looks a good form reference for this and ran an encouraging fourth. Given no favours from the barrier draw, especially with top weight, but the step up to 2050m suits and he has the class to warrant being called the testing material. STATION ONE (4) is a Kyneton, Dunkeld, Traralgon and Marong Cup winner and returned to something like his best last time out in the Coleraine Cup. Outside draw looks ugly but he'll roll forward and there don't look to be too many other natural leaders in the race. VERONA (3) has been building up to a win this time in and is drawn to be a factor. QUEEN TAKES KING (6) is a veteran mare who broke a long winning drought last time out and needs to be respected now she's rediscovered winning form. TYCOON BEC (5) will be better for the first up run and should give herself every chance up close to the speed.
