ROCK THE BAR (2) went home better than LR when coming with a good run to only miss the winner by a long neck. Gets in better at the weights this time with Milnes taking over claiming 1.5k. Draws to get the gun run and looks the one to beat. LONGER ROUTE (3) showed great tactical speed when resuming here two weeks ago and fought hard when challenged, just lacking a fitness edge late. Better for the hitout and stays at the trip. Will be tougher to catch. PEARL ADIOS (1) has done much winning of late but has been competitive. Will appreciate the slight drop in grade and get help under the big weight with gun apprentice in Johnstone claiming 2kg. No reason he can't get the job done. Smaller cases can be made for last start all the way winner GREENIDGE (7) and MISS KERMIE (6) second-up.
