Verdict
BRUDENELL (1) looks nicely placed here. He's placed in his past two, beaten by some handy types including in the G3 Southern Cross Stakes at Rosehill last start. He was entered for the Oakleigh Plate but this looks a soft and very winnable option. APACHE SONG (4) is off a let up having run a good race behind Schwarz in the G2 Australia Stakes here last time out. She had every chance there and the winner did it easily but she looks well placed with 54kg in this. LONDON'S IMAGE (6) is a handy Perth filly who comes over to Melbourne. She's got a good record and posted some figures that can measure up in this. BAND OF BROTHERS (7) was poor in the G2 Rubiton last time but the run two back behind Royal Insignia and Tropicus is good form. REGAL ZEUS (3) will want a bit further but could sneak into the finish.
