Verdict

TOMBA (5) was well fancied in a handy three-year-old race at Flemington last time out, starting $2.80 off the back of two smart wins at Kembla Grange but struggled, finishing near the tail. This is an easier race and he gets blinkers on with Shinn sticking. Can bounce back. ITSUKUSHIMA (3) is a consistent type who won over 1500m at Cranbourne two back, a bit disappointing up to BM74 grade at Mornington last time. This suits better and his on-speed pattern should be well suited around here. ECCEDERE (9) was big odds but proved too good winning her maiden at Randwick Kensington last start. She has to be respected on that performance, and the Lane & Waller combination. THE MARG FACTOR (10) can mix her form but should give a sight if left alone in front. BIG KATE (6) perhaps next best.
