COLLEANO (3) stepped up in grade but improved sharply last start when runner-up over this distance at Mornington. Faces a similar assignment today and with added fitness he looks tough to hold out. TURN UP THE NIGHT (5) added to some excellent results this prep when he led and just failed to hang on last time out over this distance at Kilmore. On-pacer suited by this tight circuit and will be hard to reel in again. NULLAFIORD (13) tackled an easier race at Mortlake recently and got the job done, leading from the outset over 1100m. Needs to raise the bar but is drawn well and should be competitive. MACEDONIAN MARVEL (1) returned from a long break with a midfield finish over this distance at Mornington last start. Lightly raced five-year-old who can improve sharply. SAMURAI (7) caught the eye first-up at Sale. Kept fresh since that run six weeks ago and is right in the mix.
