BANCOORA (1) was slowly away but really picked up the bit late and was beaten under a length on debut last start over 1100m at Horsham. Draws a better gate so if he gets away this time he looks terribly hard to beat over the longer trip. PROVEN SOUL (11) improved sharply last time out when lining up for the second time, making late ground to get up for second over 1106m at Benalla. On a quick back-up and the longer distance suits so she poses a genuine threat. DUKE OF SNITZ (2) is back from an eleven-month break and some throat surgery. Showed ability in the two runs of his maiden campaign. On-pacer who will use gate one to advantage and should give backers a sight. LADY DUTTON (10) probably found 1009m at Yarra Valley a bit slick when fresh from a spell last start. Worth another chance out to this journey. DENNIS THE MENACE (7) won a recent Bendigo jump-out so might be one to watch in betting on debut.
