TYPHOON TONY (7) was 100-1 fresh at Mornington but ran on very well for second before proving that was no fluke with a strong maiden win at Ballarat, beating Aligning Stars who won their maiden nicely during the week. He draws well here and can go on with the job. MINTMAN (11) has come back well, winning his maiden easily fresh at short odds before a close up third in a Class 1 at Bendigo. He won't need to improve much to be going close here. RAETIHI (3) ran well fresh at Sale but struggled last time in a stronger race. He's better placed here and should take catching with the right run. KIRK (10) resumes. He went to the paddock a soft winner at Pakenham Synthetic and is open to improvement. CODIGO (2) next best.
