This sharp track will be ideal for MONDO MAN, who was a smart performer on the Flat and shaped with plenty of promise when second to leading Triumph Hurdle hope Lulamba on debut in this sphere at Ascot. He is open to improvement and will prove hard to beat, particularly if he settles better than he did at Ascot. St Pancras was not in the same league as the selection on the level but he has taken well to hurdles and is next on the list ahead of Opec.

Smart on the Flat in France (fifth in the Prix du Jockey Club last summer) and picked up for €520,000 in October. Chased home a potentially very smart juvenile in Lulamba on hurdles debut at Ascot (15.7f, good to soft) where he didn't help himself by taking a strong grip. Should go one better here.

Ex-French performer who cemented excellent start to his career when winning a listed hurdle at Auteuil (17.4f, soft) last June. Ran as though amiss on return/debut for new yard at Cheltenham but yard has won this race several times and he's well worth another chance in view of his French form.

Has left her Flat form behind since switched to hurdles, winning first 3 completed starts in this sphere, including a fillies' listed race at Newbury in November. Ran poorly in a Chepstow Grade 2 over Christmas but she will be a threat if able to get back on track here.

Fairly useful handicapper on the Flat (stays 1¾m), successful twice in 2024. Ran to just a modest level on hurdling debut at Ascot but left that well behind when accounting for 9 rivals in a listed event at Musselburgh (15.6f, good to soft) 3 weeks ago. Open to improvement in this sphere.

Fairly useful form over hurdles in France prior to changing hands for €450,000 last summer. Too keen to do himself justice on debut for new yard in the Cheltenham Grade 2 won by East India Dock (like Sauvignon, he was pulled up in that race) but likely to leave that form well behind in time.

Fair maiden on the Flat for William Haggas and stepped up on his unpromising hurdles debut display when third in an 8-runner Catterick juvenile (15.7f, good to soft). Should pick up a race before long if able to build on that but almost certainly punching above his weight in this company.
