POWERSTONE (4) showed good early speed and led into the straight before fading to finish sixth, beaten 4 lengths, over 1200m at Quirindi. Has managed four minor placings from five runs at this circuit. Should run well. RINNERO (8) was in the placings when a length away from the winner last time at Walcha and gets some weight relief here. Likely to push forward and race on the pace. Expected to be in the finish. VOLUNTEER (6) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1100m at Armidale, beaten 2 lengths into ninth. Won't find this as tough so he will be hard to beat. FREEWHEELER (7) turned things around last start and landed the prize by one length over 1000m at Goondiwindi. Looks well placed so expect another big run.
