ASTAPOR (1) was restrained early then let down in great style to finish second to Dream Start when resuming over 1110m at Doomben last start. Wasn't beaten far by some of the cream of the three-year-old crop last prep. In a new barn this time in work and looks ready to win. APUNTAR (2) is fresh from a three-month spell. Best form last campaign was over more ground but he is classy and has been set for this. Deserves respect with a soft run assured from the good gate. DREAM SMART (8) was too strong for Astapor when they clashed over 1110m at Doomben three weeks ago. Open to improvement second-up today and just needs luck from the sticky gate to be right in the finish. SCRUB CHAIN (4) has won four from four this prep up north, the latest win over 1100m at Rockhampton in what has turned out to be a strong form race. Deserves his chance on the big stage. Last start Sunshine Coast winner TAKE A BOW (12) is up in grade but very fit and worth including in exotics.
