NEO DIAMOND (7) is a local gelding resuming from a spell and he finished third in 2 of his 3 starts in his initial prep. He will be a lot stronger this prep and has been close up in a couple of tune-up trials. A good draw helps and he will be among the hardest to beat. DISCOTHEQUE (5) will be peaking third up and won't find this any harder than his last run at Ballina nearly 2 weeks ago. A wide draw is no help but with an extra 300m to travel this time, he can figure in the finish again. RUINS OF ROME (12) only came to the end of his run late when finishing third on debut at the Sunshine Coast 15 days ago. Ryan Wiggins picks up the ride and his first win is not far away. ADALMO (3) did not fire off a wide gate here when making his debut a fortnight ago. He is locally trained and with a superior gate, he should improve.
