There was enough to suggest in the first-up run that TWINKLE VAN WINKLE (11) might not be too far away from returning to the winner's stall. Only beaten 1.4 lengths over 1454m, the 1700m second-up looks highly suitable and gets John Allen. EASY TURN (12) has a wide gate to overcome and didn't set the world on fire last start but was good enough the start prior for a race of this quality. DOUBLE CHANCE (14) is never far away. MICKIO (7) looked a stayer of some note as a 3YO and has since changed stables but recent jumpouts suggest a forward showing is on the cards. BLOOMING EDGE (9) could challenge if he returns to his best, which he could get the chance to do from what looks a favourable barrier.
