LITTLE BAIA (1) improving mare who bounced back to form with Roper's 3kg claim when a tough on-pace winner over this track and trip last week. Up slightly in weight and expected to go close again. PRINCESS NEFERTITI (2) Wangaratta-trained mare holding her form well. Gave them a galloping lesson when leading throughout over 2040m at Moonee Valley two weeks ago. Back in trip and good enough to play a leading role. GENDARMERIE (7) hard fit fifth-up and no excuses tonight with Bourke's 2kg claim. Will go the front and give plenty of cheek. HINCHINJIVE (3) appreciated the drop in grade when launching late for a smart 3 len win over 1600m at Newcastle last time out. Has further improvement in store and sure to be thereabouts.
