FUNCHAL (6) got the job done on debut as she ran on from midfield to score by 0.5L in fine style as favourite. The form out of that race has been fantastic and she comes here off a 55-day freshen. Suspect she'll have some lofty targets this campaign and she can pick up where she left off. NORTH FACE (2) bounced back last start at Bunbury when back out to 1200m, finishing 0.4L off the winner. He steps out to this trip for the first time today though it doesn't look an issue. Can continue to improve and make his presence felt. CAVALLO RED (1) got a long way back but rallied strongly to be beaten just 0.2L over 1200m last start. Suspect he'll be back again from the wide barrier, but the rise in trip is a big tick. Can go one better this time. PAT'S LAST BANG (9) was good in her first try over this trip last start and that form may have been franked by now. Worth including. TACTICS (3) just missed last time out and has to be included.
